How much does it cost to have my book distributed by Absolutely Books ?

The basic cost of the program is $150.00 per title set up fee which includes six months free listing in the on-line store. Title renewal is $60.00 for an additional six months or $90.00 for 12 months. The $150.00 is due before the title is uploaded into the system. Each retail sale will be subject to a standard distributor charge of 55% of the retail price. Authors/publishers with more than one title for consideration should contact Absolutely Books for multiple title pricing rates.

Does Absolutely Books have an online bookstore to help me sell my book?

Yes, The on-line store has a fully functioning secure store with credit card processing. Each book is listed with a cover photo and short description. You can also use "Buy Me" buttons to clear sales from your website through the Absolutely Books shopping cart and fulfillment center.

How do I qualify for the Absolutely Books distribution programme?

Any author/small publisher with a professionally produced book/books and a detailed marketing plan can submit their book/books to Absolutely Books for consideration through our submission process.

I am from the UK. Would you consider distributing my book?

We are happy to represent authors/publishers from the US and Europe whose books meet our submission requirements.

I am foreign. Are there any tax rules I need to know?

In Canada books are subject to a 6% GST [General Sales Tax].

Does signing up with Absolutely Books mean that my book/books will be in every bookstore in the country?

One of the most important reasons for signing up with a distributor is that information about your book will be made available through a number of databases which are accessed by book retailers, library suppliers and wholesalers across the country.

Can I still sell my books on my website or at seminars?

Yes, direct consumer sales are fine and don't violate our agreement. Many authors choose to have their website linked to the Absolutely Books on-line store with a 'Buy' button that takes the visitor from your website directly to the store.
