The Author...
Nelson Brunanski grew up in a town much like his fictional town, Crooked Lake. His prairie roots are much in evidence in his first work of fiction. As a young man, he headed for the coast, but his memories of small town life on the Prairies never left him. Brunanski received a B.A., B.Ed. and went on to a career teaching English. He won a mystery writers’ competition at the Festival of Words in Moose Jaw, SK (‘05). He spoke at the Shuswap Lake International Writers Festival in June. Brunanski is currently at work on a sequel called Frost Bite. He lives with his wife Carole Clement at Inspiration Cove, Victoria, BC Canada.
